Yudhoyono Won in Ottawa

The current Indonesia’s President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, received the most votes on the General Election held at the Indonesian Embassy, intended to select the new president and vice president.

Yudhoyono and his vice president candidate, Boediono received 111 votes (89.52%). Only 8 (6,45%) voted for former President Megawati Soekarnoputri, and 5 (4,03%) voted for incumbent Vice President Jusuf Kalla.

The election was held on July 8, 2009 and for voters that cast their ballot directly to the polling station. Most of the voters in Canada will cast their ballot through mail, which will be counted on Thursday, July 16, 2009.

Yudhoyono is predicted to be the winner in this content, received more than 60% of votes nationally.
